About Dudu Alvear

Under the pseudonym Dudu Alvear, Zurich-based sound artist and electroacoustic composer José Pino has crafted a unique voice in electronic music. His studies at the Zurich University of the Arts provided a strong foundation in sound synthesis and digital composition, fueling his passion for experimentation and sonic innovation. Shaped by diverse cultural experiences—from the bustling energy of Quito, Ecuador, to the vibrant artistic landscapes of Hong Kong and Shanghai—Dudu Alvear blends his Latin American heritage with global influences. This fusion is at the heart of his music, weaving together rhythmic complexity and atmospheric depth.
